Metal-free crowns and bridges
The main advantages of a ceramic crown on zirconia are :
Its biocompatibility, no appearance of gray lines in time because there is no metal, harmlessness with the oral cavity in opposition to the ceramic-metal crowns.
Its resistance, it is just as resistant or even more than a ceramic-metallic crown on gold, chrome-cobalt or any other alloy.
Its aesthetics, because zirconia is white, it is more adapted to serve as a support for a ceramic dental crown. Zirconia favors ‘fibrointegration’ with the gums, which are particularly fond of zirconia compared to metal (no gray lines).
