PHOTOBIOSTIMULATION – ATP 38

Photobiostimulation (also called phototherapy) is a non-aggressive and non-thermal treatment method based on the use of different wavelengths corresponding to a specific field of action. The photons penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the cells. The latter will optimize their energy and synthesize the other components of the cells..

Photobiostimulation is a technique that benefits from great hindsight. Initially used by NASA for its ability to accelerate the healing of astronauts’ wounds, photons have been the subject of numerous studies that have confirmed their effectiveness and safety in the treatment of skin problems. Thanks to its stimulating, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and curative properties, its application has now been extended to all fields of medicine.

The concept of biostimulation has proven itself in a wide range of applications and has been validated by numerous studies, highlighting its effectiveness and the absence of side effects.

These light waves will be captured in the heart of the weakened cells to stimulate them and accelerate their regeneration process. This action will thus activate healing, reduce pain and inflammation.

A phototherapy session usually takes place during post-operative care and lasts between 5 and 15 minutes.

It is possible to repeat the session at different intervals depending on the surgeon’s recommendations.
